Abstract
Managing a TikTok Shop shouldn’t feel like navigating a maze. Yet for many sellers, TikTok's native seller dashboard presents more confusion than clarity. At Dimension Studios, we set out to simplify that experience. Our team designed a smart, centralized dashboard that gives sellers full control over their creators, products, and performance data. The platform also integrates AI insights based on seller data to help businesses grow, whether they are just starting out or scaling fast.
Context
The current TikTok Shop Seller Center is overwhelming. It displays a large amount of information, but offers little support for understanding what it all means. Sellers are often left with questions like:
What do these numbers actually indicate?
Are our creators generating value?
Are our orders being fulfilled properly?
Many of the shops we support are run by small teams with limited time and resources. For them, the inability to quickly interpret important data can become a major barrier to continued success. A better way to manage and act on this information was clearly needed.
Solution
The product team (consisting of me and Renee Chang as designers and Louis, Joao, and Julian as developers) created a dashboard experience that focuses on clarity, speed, and control. It collects and presents essential data in a way that is easy to understand and act on. Sellers can immediately grasp what matters, make informed decisions, and grow their business more effectively.
Home Page
The home screen functions as the central hub for each shop’s activity, offering quick access to essential insights and metrics. During our research, we discovered that every shop values different types of data—some prioritize inventory turnover, others focus on fulfillment speed or top-performing products. Because of these varying needs, shop owners expressed a strong desire for dashboard flexibility.
To address this, we designed a customizable dashboard layout that allows users to tailor their home screen to reflect the data that matters most to them.

AI Assistant
For many businesses, the sheer volume of metrics and performance data can be overwhelming. Creator-generated videos are a cornerstone of success on TikTok Shops, serving as a primary driver of product discovery and sales. Given their importance, we introduced a dedicated section for managing all aspects of creator performance—from video engagement to product impact.
Tracks key metrics like conversion rates and click-through rates for each creator video
Provides clear visibility into how specific products perform across different pieces of content
Helps sellers understand which creators, formats, and content types are generating the most sales
Centralizes creator data to make it easier to optimize partnerships and campaign strategies
This feature ensures sellers can manage creator relationships more strategically, with all the insights needed to grow through content.

Research
Our team researched several top-performing platforms to understand how to best present complex data. These included:
Stripe, for financial clarity and design simplicity
Shopify, for its seller-friendly structure

TikTok Seller Center, to understand existing challenges and limitations
This competitive analysis helped us create an interface that is both informative and easy to use.

Design Approach
We focused on clarity in every detail. To make the data more meaningful:

Organizing data into a usable format was a key challenge. With user input and multiple design iterations, we developed a layout that separates content into clear sections, including:

Future Plans
The dashboard is now live and actively used by shops we manage. The results have been transformative. Small businesses now feel empowered instead of overwhelmed, with tools that help them grow faster and with more confidence.

Looking ahead, we plan to develop this dashboard into a standalone software product. Our CEO has already presented it to major companies including TikTok headquarters in Los Angeles and Silicon Valley Bank. These conversations have confirmed both the demand for this solution and its potential impact.
